La primavera, lì a San Francisco,
è un poeta in procinto di acrobazie,
è amore appena in stato embrionale,
è una breve scossa che decide la vita.
Ma se vi affacciaste al di là della baia,
se affrettaste l’occhio oltre l’oceano
verso i panorami della mia infanzia,
l’affanno si farebbe quiescente,
l’idea muterebbe in maturità,
e lo spirito si smarrirebbe
in un incomunicabile
stato allucinatorio.
La nostra realtà,
la suggestione,
il walzer, la poesia:
il miasma della pazzia
o la rinascita del respiro.
